LexMail turns your mailbox into a dependable archive: every incoming and outgoing message is preserved byte-for-byte in its original RFC822 form on your own computer — never lost, never altered. Lists, rendered bodies and attachment indexes are all derived data; classifications and summaries can be regenerated at any time without touching the originals. You stay in charge of the intelligence: AI runs on a local model by default; when you actively connect a cloud model, the related message content is sent to the model provider you choose; with no model configured at all, archiving, sync and sending remain fully functional. Every manual re-classification is remembered — after a few corrections, similar mail takes care of itself. Suspicious scripts and tracking images are not executed by default.

About LexMail
Questions often asked during evaluation and integration
The mail archive is stored on your own computer by default, and the licensing and update services never receive message bodies. With a local model, AI processing also happens on your machine; if you actively connect external services such as a cloud model, cloud attachments or webhooks, the related content is sent to the service you choose.
Just correct it on the detail page — the correction takes effect immediately. After a few corrections for the same sender, the system generates a rule automatically and similar mail files itself away from then on.
You can. Backups contain all messages and flags; integrity is verified item by item before anything is replaced, and the pre-restore data is kept automatically so you can always roll back.
Any provider speaking standard IMAP/SMTP — enterprise mail and mainstream personal providers both work. Once connected, history is archived in one pass and new mail syncs and classifies automatically.
The archive lives on your machine; you move between devices via backups. On the same machine, the web console, the command line and the Mac app share one archive.

Reading, searching, exporting and backing up your local archive is never locked. Release builds grant non-trial licenses a default 14-day grace period, subject to the offline lease (by default at most 30 days from the most recent issuance); the trial has no grace period. Past those limits, paid capabilities step down to the free edition and are restored under the new certificate once you renew online.
Both tiers include identical AI features: choose the lifetime license for long-term use without annual payments, or the annual license for continuous new features at a lower entry cost.
